Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection to a crash that killed a 15-year-old girl and injured three other teenagers.

The driver — who hasn't been identified — was arrested on Friday on suspicion of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and two counts of motor vehicle theft following the March 30 crash, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

Authorities said the five teenagers were traveling northbound on I-225, just south of East 6th Avenue, in a stolen 2016 Kia Sorento, when their vehicle crashes around 7:30 a.m. The driver lost control of the vehicle, rolling it over, authorities said.

Chan Titi, 15, died in the hospital. The other four were injured.

A warrant from the department was issued for the arrest of the driver on Wednesday. He was arrested on Friday morning and taken to a youth detention center.

The Aurora Police Traffic Section determined speed was the most significant factor in the crash. The usage of seat belts, as well as alcohol and drugs, were still being investigated as contributing factors on Wednesday. Investigators also found opened and unopened alcohol containers in the SUV.

Meanwhile, Aurora's councilmembers are pressing for action from the Colorado Department of Transportation to fix a bump on I-225, which they said is the cause of four cars — alleged to be travelling excessively fast — to lose control and roll off the interstate.

Seven people have died in car crashes, including Titi, as a result, they said.
