Glenwood Hot Springs is famous for its enormous outdoor swimming pool—at about four hundred feet long by one hundred feet wide, it’s the largest hot springs pool on the planet! Enjoy swimming, soaking, bubble chairs, diving boards, and two slides: an inner tube slide called Avalanche Falls and a body slide called Shoshone Chute. For hotter soaks, settle into the four-foot deep Therapy Pool, while the kids enjoy the seasonal, two-foot deep Kiddie Pool. Day soakers are welcome at this commercial hot spring, or you can spend the night at the onsite, one hundred and seven room lodge. A luxury spa, restaurant, apparel shop and athletic center provide lots of distractions between soaks. For ADA folks, there are lifts for the big pool and the therapy pool. Alcohol, smoking, and glass containers are not allowed in the pool area.

  • This commercial hot spring is located within walking distance to downtown Glenwood Springs so you can shop, eat, and drink to your heart’s content and then make your way back to the lodge without worrying about driving or parking. If you imbibe alcoholic beverages at any of the local establishments, do it after your hot soak and not before, to avoid sickness or accidents.
  • Glenwood Springs offers lots of activities so if you’re driving a long distance to get to the pool, make a weekend of it and enjoy Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park or Sunlight Mountain Ski Resort. You can also hire a guide and rent some gear to try something new like rock climbing, ice climbing, white water rafting, kayaking, stand up paddling, and biking tours.
