While Colorado doesn't quite garner the same attention among foodies that places like New York City and Los Angeles do, there are plenty of great local spots to dine – some of which have been featured on popular television shows thanks to their great eats.

Here's a list of five highly-rated Colorado restaurants that you might recognize from TV.

1. French Alpine Bistro - Creperie du Village

Aspen

This French restaurant was featured on Top 5 Restaurants and promises "a feeling of warmth, friendliness, and a sense of belonging." The restaurant is also decorated with family heirlooms and has a heated patio and street-level lounge.

The restaurant has four stars on Yelp, with reviewers describing it as cozy and with great French food. A popular dish is beef fondue.

2. Rasta Pasta

Colorado Springs

Rasta Pasta appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The restaurant is a fusion of Caribbean and Italian cuisine, with dishes like Chicken Montego Bay, Tortellini Jamaica Mon, and the signature Rasta pasta.

With 4.1 stars on Yelp, reviewers mention a great ambience with reggae music playing and an attentive staff.

3. Restaurant 415

Fort Collins

Restaurant 415 appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The restaurant serves American classics using locally-sourced ingredients. It also has vegan and gluten-free menus.

The restaurant has 4.1 starts on Yelp and reviewers claim that the food is excellent. The menu includes blackened cauliflower steak, salmon, chicken, and pizza options.

4. Audrey Jane's Pizza Garage

Boulder

Audrey Jane's was also on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The restaurant features New York-style pizza, "focusing on fresh ingredients and delicious flavors." The restaurant is known for their 'Spicy Pig' pizza.

Yelp reviewers have given the restaurant 4.2 stars and seem to agree that the pizza slices are enormous with ample toppings. 

5. Cafe Brazil

Denver

This place, also featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, is a small, South American-inspired restaurant that consists of "flowing rum, robust Brazilian flavors & folk art."

With 4.4 stars, Yelp reviewers describe the restaurant as having a "relaxing and intimate" ambiance with great food.
