At roughly 9PM Saturday night, strange lights appeared over Denver, flashing across the sky. Witnesses described them as “a line of red and white lights that were flying in formation from east to west” accompanied by a faint hum, similar to a low flying aircraft. Some people blamed weather balloons while others couldn’t help but think Santa was taking practice laps.
Turns out, it was neither. The lights were from 20 plus C-17 transport aircraft of the 437th Airlift Wing en route to Las Vegas, Nevada performing a routine exercise.
