2. Camp on the Water at Green Ridge Campground

Green Ridge Campground sits right on the water’s edge of Shadow Mountain Lake. There are several single-family sites to choose from and nearby amenities include a boat ramp for pristine water access.

3. Arapaho Bay Campground on Lake Granby

Arapaho Bay is tucked away along the shores of the man-made Lake Granby, located just south of Grand Lake. This area is perfect for water recreationalists and hiking enthusiasts. Easy access to nearby hiking trails in Indian Peaks Wilderness as well boat ramps means that you can go on a strenuous hike then relax on the water all in the same day.

If camping at the water’s edge isn’t your thing, check out Elk Creek Campground and RV park, an excellent alternative to beachside camping in Grand Lake. Complete with hookups, tent sites and cabins you’ll enjoy the nice amenities at Elk Creek after a long day exploring Grand Lake.

5. Gather the Whole Family at Cutthroat Bay Group Campground

Located on the north shore of Lake Granby, the roomy sites at this campground make it an ideal spot for a large gathering of friends and family. With the town of Grand Lake just down the road and quick access to both Rocky Mountain National Park and Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, there’s outdoor fun for the whole family.
