Casa Bonita is not only serving up sopapillas, but now skis and snowboards with help from Colorado-based ski and snowboard manufacturer Meier Skis.

The Lakewood restaurant teamed up with the Colorado Craft-Skiery recently to build a Casa Bonita-themed custom pair of skis, snowboard and wall art for riding or display.

The Casa Bonita X Meier custom skis ($1,249), and the Casa Bonita X Meier custom snowboard ($995) are currently for sale on Casa Bonita's El Mercado website.

These limited-edition planks and boards are slated for a total production of 500 with Casa Bonita owners Trey Parker and Matt Stone having already reserved the No. 1 and No. 2 builds; sorry folks. Once the last 498 are gone, they're gone.

Casa Bonita Skis and Snowboard

A pair of custom skis or custom snowboard with Casa Bonita-themed graphics created by Colorado craft skiery Meier Skis is being offered in a limited edition run of 500 total units.

"We were introduced to Casa Bonita by one of our local, mutual vendors," Michelle Kidd of Meier Skis said. "Hookfish Manufacturing is making some of Casa Bonita's soft goods and said 'Hey, you guys should talk to my buddies over at Meier,' and Matt and Trey really wanted to keep everything super Colorado, super local."

Because Meier makes all its skis and snowboards in Colorado using beetle-kill pine and aspen, Kidd said the relationship and build lined up well for both Parker and Stone.

Meier is not only making rideable skis and snowboards, they are making two other products with the Casa Bonita graphic in the form of wall art.

"Those are built without the metal edges, without the tech components, at a lower price to allow collectors to display indoors at a ski home or little bar area," Kidd said.

You order the Casa Bonita graphic on a desired ski or snowboard length specific to you, making your Casa Bonita ski or snowboard unique. Each ski, snowboard and wall art also comes with a three-year warranty.

"We are going to put a couple display units in the mercado at Casa Bonita as well," Kidd said. "People can see them at Casa Bonita, then come down the street and see how they (skis and boards) are made at the shop, too."

Georgia artist Matt Leunig worked with Parker and Stone to design the Casa Bonita graphics for the skis and snowboards.

"Casa Bonita continues to look at innovative opportunities to celebrate Colorado and its local businesses, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with Meier Skis on this special product launch," Casa Bonita management said to the Denver Gazette in a email.

"For fans looking for a special gift this holiday season, this limited-edition collection is surely one they don’t want to miss."

Casa Bonita also has other "Ski Capsule" gear to choose from, including T-shirts, hoodies, a skate deck, trucker hats and stickers rounding out a full line-up of ski-themed apparel.

The skis went on sale Monday in the shop and online.

"This graphic will probably be retired after this year, but we're excited to be a part of all this energy around the revival of Casa Bonita," Kidd said.
