This family-friendly hot spring in Steamboat Springs offers a variety of outdoor soaking and swimming options. Soak peacefully in the Heart Springs Pool, two Spa Pools, or the Shallow Pool. Scramble up the climbing wall over the Hot Pool or slip and slide through one of two waterslides into the Slide Pool. The Kiddie Pool has a zero-depth entry and the Swimming, Activity & Lap Pool has lap lanes, a diving board and inflatables. Old Town Hot Springs also has onsite massage services and a fitness center, a snack bar, playground and picnic area. You can rent indoor space or the upper deck for parties. Smoking, alcohol, glass, and pets are not allowed, and there’s wheelchair access throughout the facility.

Pro Tips

  • Steamboat Springs is a terrific weekend getaway town with lots of activities. In winter and spring, enjoy skiing at Steamboat Ski Resort, Howelsen Hill Ski Area and Nordic Center, and skating and bumper cars on ice at the Howelsen Ice Arena.
  • The annual Steamboat Pentathlon combines alpine skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, mountain biking and running. Sign up to compete, be a volunteer, or enjoy the race as a spectator.
  • In the summertime, visit Fish Creek Falls in Routt National Forest. The parking lot and trailhead are just three miles from downtown Steamboat Springs and the overlook is wheelchair accessible. If you’re up for a hike, take the trail to the base of the falls. A longer hike takes you to Upper Fish Creek Falls.
  • Recommended season(s): Year-round.
