Pro Tips

  • The Rides at City Park next to the Pueblo Zoo is a fun-filled area with two bounce houses, a picnic area for birthday parties, a miniature train, and affordable prices. The park’s C.W. Parker #72 Historic Carousel, also called the Pueblo Carousel, is unique, historic, and a blast to ride. Children can ride the carousel and other rides all summer for two tickets, which cost only 50 cents.
  • The Pueblo Zoo, sprawling over 30 acres in City Park, houses over 420 animals from 142 species. The Zoo is a great adventure for a City Park day, with numerous animal habitats like Serengeti Safari, Australian Outback, Asian Adventure, and Colorado Wetlands. The affordable zoo is open daily.
  • The City Park Dog Park is a large fenced area where your best furry friend can romp. The park, between the pool and ballfields, has handicap-accessible sidewalks, dog drinking fountains, dog-bone shape benches, trees, and separate areas for small and large dogs. Dog owners must supervise their dogs and they should be under voice control at all times. No aggressive dogs.
  • Recommended season(s): Year-round.
