Things To Do
Captain Jack’s is a classic Colorado Springs ride. The trail follows the ridge between North Cheyenne Canyon and Bear Creek Canyon before dropping down into North Cheyenne Canyon during the last half mile. This trail is flowy and fun with large berms and optional side-hits. The top portion (from the top of Buckhorn down to where the trail crosses High Drive) is very loose and is fairly exposed. After crossing High Drive, the trail is becomes less steep, it has less gravel, and it has a nice rhythm. Between the short chute, fast rollers, and bermed corners, Captain Jack’s is the perfect trail for any riders looking to push their speed.
Captain Jack’s is most popular with mountain bikers, though you can hike the three-mile trail as well. The trail has beautiful views of North Cheyenne Canyon, Bear Creek Canyon, and Cheyenne Mountain.
