Warm and sunny weather to hit this weekend with snowstorm soon to follow

If you’re looking for another chance to enjoy some warm Colorado weather before winter is here to stay, this weekend might be one of your last opportunities to do so this year. The next big snowstorm is expected to hit early next week, but temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will likely be closer to what most would expect during the summer.

Denver is expected to be in the 70s Saturday and Sunday, peaking at 78 degrees on Monday. Colorado Springs will also be warm, in the 70s on Saturday and high-60s on Sunday, reaching back up to a high of 74 on Monday before falling to a high of 49 on Tuesday.

The mountains are likely to see some warmer weather this weekend as well, with Breckenridge highs breaking into the 60s and Aspen possibly inching into the mid-60s. A similar forecast of temperatures between 55 and 65 degrees (with sunshine) is predicted in most of the high-country around the state.

Don’t be fooled. Temperatures around the entire state will start dropping rapidly on Tuesday as a snowstorm likely to dump double-digit snow totals around the state rears its head.

If you want to get out there and do something awesome in warm weather, this weekend might be one of your last chances to do so this year. Make sure you take advantage of it.
