Tickets for the popular Ice Castles attraction are officially on sale and those looking to visit the spectacle on a certain date will want to purchase tickets as soon as possible.

With construction of the attraction underway in Cripple Creek, the finalized opening date for the Ice Castles is yet to be announced. That being said, the company behind the effort is targeting a late-December or early-January launch for the frozen playground that looks like something out of a fairytale.

The first tickets currently available are for dates starting on Saturday, January 13. Tickets may be made available for an earlier date if ideal weather speeds up the opening.

From Friday through Sunday, tickets for those 12 and up will cost $27, with those between four and 11 able to visit for $22. On off-peak days – Monday through Thursday – 12 and up tickets are priced at $21 and tickets for those aged between 4 and 11 are $16.

While the Ice Castles attraction has been located in the Summit County area in the past, this will be the first year it's in Teller County's Cripple Creek, which is located roughly 45 minutes from Colorado Springs.

Ice Castles is opening three other locations around the country this year – in New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Utah. They're also opening two 'Winter Realms' – one in Wisconsin and another in New York.
