Well-known snow sports website OnTheSnow has released their annual Visitor's Choice Awards and multiple Colorado spots got a nod.

“OnTheSnow users leave thousands of reviews each ski season for the resorts they've visited,” said Chad Dyer, Managing Director of Mountain News, publishers of OnTheSnow. “The Visitors’ Choice Awards are the culmination of the ski season, when we get to honor those resorts that OnTheSnow users have rated the top in North America.”

Most notable was Telluride Resort's win in the 'best overall ski resort' category.

Chuck Horning, owner of Telluride Ski Resort, stated, "We're honored for the recognition, much of which goes to our amazing team of folks who have created the experience here.” Horning continued, “We are also mindful that there are many great resorts in Colorado, and it is tough to say one is better, so we are grateful to be recognized."

With more than 2,000 acres of terrain and a vertical drop of 4,425 feet, it's no surprise that Telluride's win for the 2023-2024 slopesport season is its second in a row. Not only does this remote escape in southwestern Colorado offer some of the most enjoyable and diverse terrain among the state's resorts, the itself makes for a great mountain getaway, regardless of the season. Prior to last season, Aspen Snowmass took the top honors in the 2021-2022 awards.

Despite not winning the 'best overall resort' award, Aspen Snowmass wasn't left out of the winners list this year, claiming the 'Best Apres-Ski' award for this season.

Meanwhile, Winter Park won the 'most family-friendly ski resort' award, Breckenridge won 'best terrain parks,' and Wolf Creek won the award for 'best small ski resort.'

Only two non-Colorado spots were awarded – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for 'best all-mountain terrain' and Massachusetts' Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort as 'best ski area for beginners.'

Sex, religion, and politics. Three things your grandmother admonished you to never discuss in polite company. This is more sensitive than all three.

Grandma was well programmed by the man.

If they say do not speak of it, you'd best start discussing it at length.

Telluride is only good for Telluride.
