"Do you know me?" asked the Boulder Police Department in an announcement that was accompanied with a photo of a young dog that appears to be a German Shepherd-Husky mix. The pup was abandoned near the north shore parking lot of Boulder Reservoir on April 28 around 8:30 p.m.

The dog has been described as a black and tan neutered male, without a collar or microchip and with one blue eye. What appeared to be a 2000s-model Honda Civic was seen leaving the scene.

Authorities are asking the public if the recognize the dog or if they may know who the owner is. Anyone with information is asked to call Boulder Animal Protection at 303-489-5530.

82nd Airborne

One would like to think that he's either lost or ran off and was left behind by the owner who will come back to find him. But with news every few days of people dropping off boxes of puppies and kittens (some at shelters, but many at or in dumpsters or the middle of nowhere in extreme heat or cold), I won't hold my breath. What has become of this nation when we treat our pets in such a way? "The godly care for their animals, but the wicked are always cruel." Proverbs 12:10
