Colorado is known for its beautiful outdoors, but the state is also home to some great spots to dine, some of which have been featured on popular television shows.

Here are five more Colorado restaurants that have been featured on TV.

1. Highland Tavern

This restaurant appeared on Episode 1 of Season 17 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The low-key pub includes a long beer list, burgers, and sandwiches. According to the Food Network, the episode featured the restaurant's tater tots, pork rinds, and "monster pastrami sandwich."

Highland Tavern has 4.2 stars on Yelp, and reviewers say that the tavern has a good amount of TVs, great service, and enjoyable ambiance. Reviewers also rave about the homemade tots and pork rinds.

2. Casa Bonita (Denver)

This iconic Colorado restaurant has been featured on multiple TV shows, and if you see the spectacle that is Casa Bonita, it's not hard to see why. Casa Bonita has made appearances on Craziest Restaurants in America and the animated TV show South Park.

Not only was this restaurant featured in South Park, but the creators actually bought the restaurant. The eleventh episode of the seventh season of South Park is titled "Casa Bonita," and prominently features the restaurant.

As well as Mexican food, Casa Bonita includes lots of entertainment. Guests will experience gorillas, pirates, gunfights, a 30-foot waterfall, cliff divers, stage shows, and more.

3. The Post Chicken & Beer

Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, this is an upbeat, casual spot. The menu features fried chicken and plenty of comfort food sides, as well as house brews and cocktails. Yelp reviewers rave about the fried chicken and comfortable ambiance. They also write about the patio seating and friendly staff.

4. Zoe Ma Ma

This "colorful shoebox of a soup shop" was also on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The restaurant serves homemade noodles, dim sum, and more. According to the Food Network, you should head to Zoe Ma Ma for some "quick, super yummy street food," and try the huge pork-filled Steamy Buns and the Za Jiang Mian with house-made noodles, pork, and julienne vegetables.

Yelp reviewers claim that the restaurant is off the beaten path, but also say that the food is great.

5. Paravicini's Italian Bistro

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives also highlighted this rustic Italian joint. The place boasts a lively atmosphere and doles out classic Italian food with homemade sauces. According to the Food Network, the restaurant serves fresh, hearty, Italian meals. Yelp reviewers describe the atmosphere as warm and charming.
