While Coloradans' collective focus is turning to summer, one might want to consider next ski season.

Vail Resorts' popular Epic Pass is going up in price after May 27. Now is the time to secure the most affordable access to dozens of destinations worldwide, including the company's flagship resort in Colorado as well as Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek and Crested Butte.

The pass granting unlimited access to those slopes and more stands at $982. Providing unrestricted days at Breckenridge and Keystone and 10 days total at Vail and Beaver Creek, the Epic Local Pass currently runs $731.

Also for sale is the $172 pass for active and retired military and their dependents, with full access to Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone Beaver Creek and more. The pass for veterans and their dependents is $561.

Epic Day Pass is a build-your-own option, with discounted days ranging between $44-$93 depending on the resort of choice.

Last month saw a price deadline pass for the Ikon Pass, another go-to option in Colorado. Another increase is slated for fall.

Ikon's broadest pass is listed at $1,359. That provides unlimited access at resorts including Copper Mountain, Winter Park, Steamboat and Eldora in Colorado. Another 41 destinations can be visited up to seven days, including Arapahoe Basin and Aspen Snowmass.

At $969, the Ikon Base Pass unlocks unlimited days at Copper Mountain, Winter Park and Eldora, along with up to five days at A-Basin and Steamboat. Blackout date restrictions apply to those ski areas under the four-day session pass, listed at $479.
