Colorado tends to live up to its ‘dog-friendly’ reputation. Not only do many people in the Centennial State own a dog, there are also a lot of places that cater to canine friends. Here are 10 Colorado dog parks that feature fenced areas to let your pup roam safely.

1. Bear Creek Dog Park – Colorado Springs
Bear Creek Dog Park in west Colorado Springs is one of the Pikes Peak region’s favorites. Featuring 25 acres of fully-fenced land, the dog park also includes a fresh mountain creek, perfect for cooling off on hot days. Bear Creek Dog Park also offers small dogs their own area in a 2-acre section for pets that weigh 25 pounds or less.

The Canyon View Dog Park in Grand Junction is super convenient for Interstate 70 travelers. Located on the frontage road, owners can let their dogs run or swim at this 3.2-acre, fenced-in dog park.

Durango offers 24-acres for dogs to roam off-leash in this open space. There’s even an access point to the Animas River to let your dog splash around in.

The fenced, off-leash dog park at Estes Park is divided into two large sections with gated access to Lake Estes. The Estes Valley Dog Park provides shady areas, agility equipment, and large fields that are great for fetch.
