[WATCH] Elk Battle During Mating Season in Estes Park

Each year, herds of elk head toward Estes Park during their mating season. They fill the streets, grazing feet away from gawking tourists, automobiles, and residents of the town. As male elk interact, they often fight to prove their dominance, something that will earn them a role as the leader of a harem. In this video, you’ll see two male elk charge at each other, locking antlers in a violent battle as both attempt to prove they’re the stronger animal.
