Powder hounds, I’ve got bad news. This weekend won’t be bringing snow totals anywhere close to what Colorado’s ski country has been spoiled with in recent storms. That being said, some snow will still be falling around the state.

According to OpenSnow, Colorado’s trusted weather guide for the high country, snow showers may float through the high country from now until Saturday afternoon, but this will be light snow. After that, expect several days with little to no precipitation.

Also mentioned in Joel Gratz’ report, no resort is projected to get more than 4 inches over the next 5 days, with Wolf Creek, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain being your best bet for a few inches of snow during that same period.

Elsewhere around the state, Colorado Springs is expected to be sunny and in the low-40s this weekend, while Denver is expected to have similarly sunny weather, but with temperatures in the upper-40s.

Expect cool and cloudy on the Western slope and below freezing, but sunny in the Steamboat area.

Fingers crossed we’ll get some more significant powder again soon.
