According to a 4:07 PM announcement by the National Weather Service, a tornado warning is active in north central El Paso County. A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado has been spotted above Gleneagle, close to the Air Force Academy. This is approximately 14 miles north of Colorado Springs and is moving east at 20 miles per hour. It is currently active until 5:30PM, though this is subject to extension. This warning includes Black Forest.

This is the latest update regarding a number of storms that are hitting the I-25 corridor today. Flash flooding, large hail, and tornados have been major concerns.

There is also a flash flood watch active in the area to south of Cañon City and a flash flood watch that spans a large portion of the southern I-25 corridor.
