Multiple law enforcement agencies in Colorado are investigating human remains from at least three people in Conejos County, which is located in the San Luis Valley area.

According to the Monte Vista Police Department, remains that were found have been recovered and are being analyzed. Officials are hopeful that the analysis may aid in identification. At last report, it had been determined that the remains are from at least three individuals.

The two properties where the remains were found are close to the town of Las Sauces, which is located approximately 20 miles southeast of Alamosa. No one is currently living on either property.

On Wednesday, officials from the Colorado Buereau of Investigation and local police agencies provided another update in the case.

Officials announced that they're searching for a male suspect considered to be 'armed and dangerous.' Identified as 26-year-old Adre Jordan Baroz, authorities are asking the public to report any sightings of Baroz immediately. Baroz reportedly goes by the nickname of 'Psycho.' No official indicator of how Baroz may be connected to the remains has been released and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Authorities are asking the public to call a tipline at 719-270-0210 with information related to the case.

Conejos County is a sparsely populated part of Colorado, best known for being located in the vast San Luis Valley region, which is home to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The most widely known town in this county is probably Antonito, though more traveled towns like Alamosa, Monte Vista, and Fort Garland are found nearby.
