Saddlehorn Campground sits high on a plateau at Colorado National Monument above the west entrance to the parkland. The 80-site campground, one of the most beautiful in Colorado, divides into three loops. Sites in A-Loop are on a first-come first-served basis. B-Loop sites can be reserved up to six months in advance at recreation.gov. C-Loop sites are first-come first-served and are for tents, small trailers, and campers. Sites in A and B are suitable for RVs up to 40 feet long and trailers. Each loop has a restroom with flush toilets and water during the summer. Each site has a table and charcoal-only grill. No wood fires, electric hookups, or showers. Camp fees are paid at a self-registration kiosk at the campground entrance. The campground is open year round.
Recommended season(s): Year-round.
