In case you didn’t know, Colorado Parks and Wildlife allows people to reserve camping spots six months in advance. If you’re looking to spend a night out there under the stars this summer, you’ll probably wanting to starting looking into booking your spot as soon as possible.
With new updates to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website, reserving a spot is easier than it has been in previous years. Simply follow the steps below to make your reservation at a State Park today.
Step 1: Go to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website.
Step 2: Find the form on the website that allows you to select a specific state park. On desktop, this is on the bottom left of the page.
Step 3: Click into the “Camping” information from the various options. On desktop, you’ll find this on the left side of the page.
Step 4: Click the green “Reserve Now” icon. On desktop, this appears on the right side of the page.
Step 5: Select your date of arrival, length of stay, date flexibility, and type of preferred site in the “Find a Campsite” form.
Step 6: Browse the available options. When you find something you’re interested in, click “See Details.”
Step 7: After confirming the details of your preferred campsite, click “Book Now.”
Step 8: Log-in if you aren’t logged-in to the Colorado Parks & Wildlife site already. If you don’t have a profile, you’ll need to make them. This requires some form of official identification.
Step 9: Fill out details of your trip, such as number of occupants, primary camping equipment, and more.
Step 10: Click “Continue to Cart” at the bottom of the page to review your reservation. Once reviewed click “Continue to Checkout”
Step 11: Select your form of payment, either a credit card or gift certificate and confirm the purchase.
While those eleven steps might seem overwhelming, the entire process is actually pretty great. It flows smoothly and lets you reserve a spot a ton of iconic camping destinations around the state. Remember, spots fill up quickly, so try to reserve yours as soon as possible!
