A Colorado ski area that’s got roots dating back to 1915, Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs will be free to ski on Sundays throughout the season. This includes downhill skiing and 13 miles of cross-country trails. This is the second year in a row where skiing has been free for all Sundays of the season.

Here’s more information about ski-free Sundays, with a list of dates and events that coincide with this schedule.

When it comes to Colorado’s ski resorts, Howelsen Hill is far from the largest, with a vertical drop of 440 feet, with one chairlift, two carpets, and a Poma lift. Despite its humble size, this ski area has sent more skiers to international competitions than any other ski area in North America, with more than 70 Olympians having roots at Howelsen.
