Get ready for an eye-popping display of color and beauty at the 2019 Crested Butte Wildflower Festival. This year’s celebration is set to take place on July 5th-14th, 2019 in Crested Butte, Colorado.

Crested Butte is the ‘Wildflower Capital” of Colorado and is a must-visit destination for those chasing these colorful spring blooms. The Crested Butte Wildflower Festival was first founded in 1987 and runs every year for two weeks with over 200 featured events including guided hikes and walks, culinary and medicinal classes, geology and geobotany tours, birding/butterflies/botany classes, kids camps and classes, art classes, free speaking events, photography classes and more. Each year, the festival attracts thousands of visitors and vendors who advocate for the preservation and appreciation of wildflowers. This annual display results from a mix of factors including Colorado’s geography, soil composition, elevation, and snowpack.

It’s important to remember to not ever pick, touch, cut, or step on any of the wildflowers. Take in the sights and smells of the flowers, but leave them for others to enjoy.
