A full closure is in effect on I-70 in the Glenwood Canyon area due to a rockslide that has shut down both lanes (UPDATE: I-70 is now set to reopen.). The initial press release made no speculation regarding when the road may reopen. Updates have hinted that the closure will go late into the day at the least. Here’s the announcement from Colorado Department of Transportation.

The slide occurred overnight and has yet to be cleared up come morning. Both lanes of traffic were closed down to start Tuesday. The slide happened west of Grizzly Creek.
