The Reveille Wildfire grew to 155 acres in Huerfano County over the weekend, approximately 9.5 miles north of Gardner, Colorado. Headed into the weekend, this fire was burning at around 109 acres. According to the most recent report, there is still 0% containment with 55 personnel working to control the blaze, down from 102 personnel over the weekend.
On Sunday, the fire had minimal growth under rainy skies. Rainy weather is expected to continue until dry, warm weather returns on Thursday.
In the most recent report, officials estimate that the Reveille Fire will likely burn for months in the remote area. There is limited access for those working to fight the blaze due to steep and rugged terrain. There is a low-risk to any property.
Pole Creek Trail (#1398), Salt Road (#409), and Turkey Creek Road (#637) are closed to public use.
