According to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, remains that were found by dirt bikers in a remote part of Grand County, Utah were positivity identified as belonging to a missing Colorado man.

Franklin “Frank Taylor, 53 and of Grand Junction, was reported missing under suspicious circumstances in March 2019. The remains were found on February 29, 2020. A DNA comparison was used to make the positive identification.

In October 2019, Matthew Logan, 33 and of Fruita, was arrested and is facing charges related to Taylor’s disappearance. The investigation is ongoing.

Grand County, Utah borders Colorado and is home to vast desert terrain. It’s home to Moab, a popular outdoor recreation spot of the American West.
