At 8:45 PM, the National Weather Service issued a warning that a thunderstorm capable of producing nickel-sized hail and 55 mile per hour wind gusts was headed for El Paso County. The storm will likely hit the Colorado Springs vicinity, Southern El Paso County, and parts of Rampart Range below 7,400 feet.

Specific towns they listed include Fountain, Pueblo West, Pinon, and Hanover.

If you’re on the roads during this time, be prepared for bad weather. Their report warns that frequent “cloud to ground” lightning will be likely. Flooding will also be possible to due torrential rainfall.

This warning continues through 9:30PM, though this is subject to change.
