Two teenaged skiers collided Saturday on a ski run at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado, according to Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

Ski Patrol responded to reports about 3:45 p.m. of two skiers who were injured after they collided with each other on the lower part of Jolly Jug, which is a blue run.

Members of the ski mountain's Ski Patrol, Nederland Fire Rescue, American Medical Response (AMR), and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.

The two skiers, whose names were not released, were treated and prepared for transport on the run. The skiers were taken to a hospital in an ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, the Sheriff's Office said. Details about their injuries were not released.

Both skiers were wearing helmets and were considered to have expert-level skills, officials said.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Eldora Mountain Ski Resort is three miles from the town of Nederland, Colorado, which is about 45 miles northwest of Denver. The ski resort is home to 680 acres of skiable terrain.
