UPDATE [April 8; 2:07 PM]: Boulder police found suspicious items and checked them. They were not a threat. Out of caution, dogs trained in detecting explosives cleared the area. The area has been reopened to all foot traffic and vehicle traffic. Boulder Police thank the community for their patience.
UPDATE [April 8; 12:29 PM]: Boulder Police have announced that they're working with Boulder Fire and the Boulder County Sheriff's Office to investigate a report of multiple suspicious packages left in the area of Pearl Street and 13th Street in Boulder.
UPDATE [April 8; 11:28 AM]: Boulder Police Department has just issued the following statement via Twitter: "We have NOT confirmed the bomb threat on the Pearl Street Mall but are asking people to take these precautions while we check out the area and investigate. A mandatory shelter-in-place has been issued for the area of Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado due to a reported bomb threat.
The Boulder Police Department tweeted about the situation at 11:07 AM, telling people to shelter in place if inside and to evacuate immediately it outside.
A Mandatory Shelter In Place Order has been issued for the area(s) of area surrounding the Pearl Street Mall due to a Bomb Threat.
