Surveillance footage shows the suspect in several thefts throughout the Denver metro area cashing a stolen and forged check at the Credit Union of Colorado at 3907 E. 120th Ave. in Thornton. 

The Thornton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted for various thefts throughout the Denver metro area.

Police said the suspect, a woman, broke into several cars in Arvada, Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree. She stole IDs, debit cards and checkbooks from the cars, among other things.

Recently, the suspect went to the Credit Union of Colorado at 3907 E. 120th Ave. in Thornton to cash a forged check stolen from one of the cars, police said. 

Police released surveillance footage of the suspect at the credit union. The suspect drove a newer model Buick Enclave SUV, police said.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to come forward.

Anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
