An early morning crash occurred at Denver International Airport, resulting in several closures at the western terminal parking garage. During the crash, an occupied vehicle fell multiple stories. It was later confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck occurred around 4 AM on Monday, during which a vehicle reportedly traveled off of a level 6 ramp and landed on level 4. This resulted in all passenger traffic being diverted to the east terminal while an investigation into the accident was conducted.

Parking garage levels started to reopen a couple hours after the accident occurred. If you're traveling through DIA, follow posted signage for up-to-date information about closures.

Denver International Airport has instructed passengers to use their interactive map to see how they can get where they're going despite the closures that may still be in place. Find that here.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Information about who was driving the vehicle was not released. Additional details will likely be released as the investigation continues.
