On Sunday afternoon, a shooting occurred at a Denver park that left nine wounded, including a 3-year-old and five more juveniles.
The shooting happened during a large gathering at Byers and Pecos Park at about 4:30 PM. The large gathering was later referred to as a family gathering rather than a party, according to the Associated Press.
According to the Denver Channel, a fight broke out during the gathering and guns were pulled. This is reportedly when the shots were fired. A report from KKTV varies in stating that a gunman fired rounds at the crowd from a vehicle and that the shooting is being investigated as a drive-by.
A tenth person was injured when they were struck by a vehicle attempting to leave the scene.
Additional details about the extent of injuries that victims sustained is not available, though the Denver Police did state that there were no "apparent" life-threatening injuries. Victims ranged from age three to age 27.
