Love donuts? Love mochi? There's a new and soon-to-open mochi donut shop coming to Denver that's sure to delight your sweet tooth.

Dochi Denver is aiming to open this spring or early summer. The Japanese-inspired donut shop will be located in the RiNo area at 2449 Larimer Street.

Dochis are a delicious cross between the "sweet and chewy Japanese rice dessert and the classic American fried donut."

“The texture is chewier, softer, airier with a soft crisp on the outside. And it’s not too sweet. So, unlike a typical donut, where you can only eat one or two, this donut is easy to snack on," co-founder Jason Le told The Know by Denver Post Entertainment.

The Orlando-based donut shop offers specialty Japanese mochi doughnuts in exotic flavors and many delicious toppings such as matcha oreos, raspberry drizzle, lemon poppyseed, blueberry crumbles, cookies and cream with cookie butter, and red velvet.

Dochi Denver was founded by childhood friends Jason Le and Frank Phan who first began the concept as a pop-up in a market in Orlando, Florida.
