While the weekend wave of snow will come to an end, another wave of snow approaches.
Expect another round of wintry weather from Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning in some parts of the state. Snow, ice, and freezing rain are expected across the southern mountains and parts of the plains, with the highest chance for freezing rain near the Colorado and Kansas border. Record cold temperatures with lows down to -15 degrees accompanied by sub-zero windchills are also forecasted to persist throughout the evening hours of Tuesday.
Locations in the northeast and north-central part of the state can expect to see a prolonged period of dry weather starting up again on Tuesday. What's likely to start out as cool fall weather will gradually get warmer throughout the week with highs jumping back into the 50s and possibly even the 70s by the weekend.
