Jefferson County Open Space recently took to Twitter with a stern message: "Littering is littering, regardless of your baby's gender."
The post was accompanied by a photo of what appears to be blue confetti left behind from what was presumably a gender reveal party. The post goes on to mention that litterers of this nature are subject to a $100 fine.

Littering is littering, regardless of your baby's gender! If you choose to have a gender reveal party, please do so in a way that does not harm the environment. This little celebration is a violation of regulation C.14. Litter. Fine: $100.00. https://t.co/ad9NqMZMwT pic.twitter.com/hMM5HouCeF

Another gender reveal party made headlines weeks ago after being blamed for sparking the El Dorado Fire in California, which grew to more than 22,000 acres. This disaster had many people calling for those conducting gender reveal parties to do so in a safer manner.
People hosting a gender reveal party should always do so responsibly, with nature in mind. Don't leave trash behind and don't do things that may damage the natural space. Leave the area looking the same or even better than how it was found.
