More than 100 dogs that were rescued from Texas will soon make their way to Colorado thanks to Moms and Mutts Colorado Rescue (MAMCO).
The foster-based non-profit rescue organization is gearing up for one of their largest transports, including 117 puppies, dogs, and nursing mothers set to arrive in Colorado by Tuesday evening.
"I knew there was going to be a huge need for dogs that were left outside, dogs that were dumped," Aron Jones, executive director and founder of MAMCO told 9News.
While the dogs have been rescued amid these record low-cold temperatures, the shelter says their biggest need now is fosters.

MAMCO is also asking for monetary donations and various items such as animal crates, blankets, towels, collars, and leashes. For more ways to help, click here.
MAMCO thanked the community for their "outpouring of love" in a Facebook post stating, "We couldn't save this many moms and pups without an amazing community like we have."
