Colorado State Patrol took to Twitter at around 2:30 PM on Friday afternoon to inform the public of a major road closure that's underway.

Interstate 70 has been closed in both directions at Georgetown due to a semi-truck being fully engulfed in flames. Long delays are expected until the fire is out. It is unclear what started the fire.

Colorado Department of Transportation has also taken Twitter to warn of long delays on I-70.

This is a developing story. Road closures are subject to rapidly change. For the most up-to-date information, visit the Colorado Department of Transportation website.
