Gross Reservoir

On July 23 at approximately 12:27 PM, a number of Boulder-area agencies responded to the report that a man had fallen into the water at Gross Reservoir and was unresponsive.

Estimated to be 50 years old, the man fell into the water while fishing with a friend. His friend heard a splash and found the man unresponsive. CPR was started by the reporting party and continued when rescuers arrived at the scene. The victim was pronounced dead at the reservoir.

Cause and manner of death will be determined by the Boulder County Coroner's Office. There are no indications of foul play at this time.

Gross Reservoir is located in Boulder County, Colorado at approximately 7,225 feet of elevation. Its stretches across a sprawling 440 acres of surface area and is a popular spot for fishing, hiking, kayaking, and camping. Swimming and wading is not allowed.
