Police in Denver are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that left one man dead as of early Friday morning.

The hit-and-run happened near 20th and Wewatta streets, just outside of Coors Field. Police believe the crash involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, according to a tweet posted at 7:43 a.m by the Denver Police Department.

A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time the victim has not yet been identified.

Coors Field is the home field of the Colorado Rockies. The baseball park located in downtown Denver, just a few blocks from Union Station.

No other details have been released as the death investigation continues. Anyone who has information about this fatal hit-and-run accident is asked to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
