How's a stay in a your own private 'tiny home' sound for the perfect Colorado ski vacation?
Powderhorn Mountain Resort is offering a new way to "play and stay" with six tiny home vacation rentals available for the current ski season, ranging from $129 to $249 per night.
The tiny home village is just steps away from the slopes and glistening mountain views that help make Powderhorn the hidden gem ski area that it is.
Each tiny home sleeps between four to eight guests, complete with a bathroom and kitchen, kitchenette, or microwave. There's also a central gathering area with outdoor fire pits and seating.
Powderhorn plans to build even more tiny homes, with some available for purchase. Tiny home owners will have the option to stay or rent them out.
"The first phase in Powderhorn's plan to provide alternative lodging options at the resort is the Tiny Home project," the resort website states. "The initial group of Tiny Homes are available for nightly rental at the base of the resort for the 2020/21 ski season."
Powderhorn is located 45 minutes east of Grand Junction on the edge of the Grand Mesa, the world’s largest flat-top mountain. The resort is home to more than 1,600 acres of skiable terrain, offering an incredible variety of runs.
