It's no secret that marijuana has many fans in Colorado and the Colorado Disability Fund Committee is capitalizing on that.

Hosted by the committee, the '4/20 Auction' started online at 4:20 PM on April 1, 2021, featuring a number of marijuana-themed license plate configurations that are for sale. Bidders are able to purchase the right to use a certain configuration on their official Colorado license plate.

Plate configurations include: GANJA, SATIVA, ITIS420, BONG, HERB, GREEN, INDICA, SATIVA, HEMP, GOTWAX, HONEY, HAPPY, STASH, AND TEGRIDY.

Proceeds from the auction benefit Coloradans living with disabilities, with some bids already well over $1,000.

The highest bid at the time this article was published was for the 'ISIT420' plate at $6,440 with 63 bids. The 'TEGRIDY' plate, which is a reference from popular television show 'South Park', has gotten the most bids at 100, with the current price at $2,060.

The auction lasts through 4:20 PM on April 20, 2021, with more bids likely to be placed in upcoming days.

Included on the auction page is the message: "DON'T DRIVE HIGH! PLEASE USE CANNABIS RESPONSIBLY, WITHIN THE LIMITS OF ALL COLORADO LAWS."
