The Weber County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public’s help in tracking down an "armed and dangerous" man who is wanted for murder in Utah and could now be in Colorado.

UPDATE: Officers found the body of Scott Willam Russell in the driver's seat of his vehicle with injuries consistent in a reported traffic accident off Highway 39 around mile marker 15.

Deputies were responding to a disturbance in the Upper Valley West of unincorporated Weber County, Utah on Tuesday when they discovered a homicide.

Officials believe a person of interest, Scott William Russell, fled from the area driving a black 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser with black rims and Utah plates of G143AP. Officials are now notifying Coloradans to be on the look out for Russell, as he may have crossed state lines.

Anyone with information in regards to Russell's whereabouts is asked to contact the Weber County Sheriff’s Office at 801-778-6631.
