According to a 'Hazardous Weather Outlook' posted by the National Weather Service, very strong gusts of wind are expected on Wednesday in northeast and northcentral Colorado.

Gusts up to 80 miles per hour are expected in Colorado's mountains and northern foothills during the morning and afternoon. Gusts up to 50 miles per hour are also possible on Colorado's eastern plains during the same time frame. Critical fire danger will be present during this time due to the strong winds and low humidity. Winds are expected to decrease during evening hours.

Those in the impacted area should ensure possessions left outside are secure. Winds of this speed can result in some damage, as well as downed trees. Those driving in the area should be aware of the strong winds and on the lookout for flying debris. High profile vehicles should travel with extreme caution.
