Dubbed the "home of the Pure Awesomeness Factor," zrankings.com, best known for past collaborations with Forbes in determining what American ski resorts are best, currently has four Colorado resorts listed on their top 10 list for best North American ski resorts.
Telluride is currently the closest to the top of their list, ranking in second place and bested only by Jackson Hole in Wyoming. Other Colorado resorts currently making the top ten include Vail in fifth, Aspen Snowmass in sixth, and Steamboat Ski Resort in eighth.
It's also worth noting that Winter Park is ranked twelfth, Beaver Creek is ranked fourteenth, and Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain are ranked seventeenth and eighteenth, respectively.
On their full report about why Telluride is ranked as the top ski resort destination in the state of Colorado, writers state "there is no better ski town than Telluride, and the marriage between town and mountain is tighter than any other place in North America."
