A longhorn got loose during the Ride for the Brand Cattle Drive in Colorado Springs, charging into a crowd of people and entering a downtown building on August 2, 2019.

This parade is meant to showoff cowboys in action to a crowd of spectators. Unfortunately, one of the animals was able to escape its handler, jumping a sidewalk bench, making its way across a downtown street, and running at people. In the video, it appears as if a man was attempting to lasso the cow, while people in the crowd scream in terror. We’re working to track down details regarding whether or not there were any injuries sustained by spectators, as well as how the cow was recaptured.
