In a recent tweet (3:03 PM), the Colorado Department of Transportation has announced that an extended closure is taking place on I-70 across both eastbound and westbound lanes.

This is the second time today that a closure has extended across both lanes of traffic, the first taking place during the morning due to a rockslide. In this case, the eastbound lane was eventually reopened. According to this latest tweet, the closure across both lanes is back in effect.
This is a developing story.
I-70 was also closed today at MM 171 for a vehicle recovery.
I-70 EB: Road open at MM 171. All lanes open, following vehicle recovery.
