According to the Associated Press, a man has been reported missing in Chaffee County after setting off to hike on Mount Missouri, a 14,075-foot peak. Authorities found his car at the trailhead, but there were no signs of the hiker, Shuei Pako, 36, of Silverthorne.
Three different search and rescue teams joined forces on Sunday to conduct an air and ground search of Missouri Mountain, though these efforts were unsuccessful. Weather may prevent the search from continuing on Monday.
Concern mounts for the hiker as a cold front pushes across Colorado, with temperatures predicted to drop 30 degrees between Sunday and Monday.
