According to the most recent update from the National Weather Service, a high wind warning that is in effect in parts of Colorado will continue until 8PM.

The warning includes these locations: “The Sangre De Cristo mountains, Wet mountains, the Wet Mountain Valley, Pikes Peak and Teller County, Eastern Fremont County, El Paso, Pueblo, Huerfano and Western Las Animas counties, generally along and west of Interstate 25.”

The report continues to mention that winds will be west to southwest at 30-45 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 miles per hour at lower elevations and 75 miles per hour in the high country.

Lightweight vehicles and high profile vehicles should use caution on roads, especially at high altitude parts of the listed areas.
