Severe afternoon weather is expected to hit the Denver metro area on Friday, likely to produce thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds with gusts up to 60 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
This weather also brings a risk of flooding to the Denver metro area. The most likely spot for thunderstorms is east of Interstate 25.
